It's not easy, venturing beyond the end of the road...

Packing Restrictions

If you are using our transportation - Planes or Boats - space is limited! Be prepared to be in the wilderness but pack light. NO: hard sided coolers, kegs, or non folding chess boards. If you have your own means of transport then bring it all and offer to bring other group gear.

Aircraft

The nearest LZ is the well-known beach. This year plan to land at low to mid-tide only! The upper beach was affected by winter storms and is tricky. Contact Matt for aircraft landing beta before attempting.

Goat Mountain Air will be shuttling for $400 per person roundtrip. Please RSVP as there are limited seats on the airplane.  We will be running shuttles from approximately 10 am - 7 pm on Friday and Saturday from Seward airstrip. Airfare fees will be collected at time of departure - Venmo or Cash or Card.

Where: Meet at the south end, park near the fence. Airplane at end of runway!

Plane Shuttle Info

Plane shuttles will operate throughout the weekend, with departures from Seward beginning at 10:00 AM . Additional flights will be coordinated throughout the day based on weather, aircraft capacity, and passenger loads. The final shuttle departure each day will be at 7:00 PM. Please plan accordingly and coordinate any oversized items such as dogs, surfboards, kayaks, paddleboards, or other large gear in advance, as aircraft space is limited. All flight times are subject to weather and operational conditions in this wild coastal environment. Gear goals to be 50 lbs. per person for the aircraft

Boat

Being on time is a fun time! Please coordinate directly with Matt regarding your arrival and departure plans. Expect a boat cost to be $250 round trip.

Seward Water Taxi will provide shuttle service to Headwater. Outside of high tide, expect a wet landing! If you're comfortable with a little adventure, bring a packraft or paddle board to complete the final stretch to shore. High tide arrivals enjoy direct beach access, while lower tides require a short paddle in.

Where: Meet at south boat launch ramp next to National Park Visitor Center.

  • Be on time—tides determine our schedule. Boat departure times are approximate and may shift slightly due to weather, tides, or loading. We appreciate everyone's flexibility and patience as we get everyone safely to and from camp.
